[Linda Richman] Talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic. The stories of Klaus and Gilgamesh Wulfenbach are structured after the archetypes of Osiris and Horus. Discuss. [/Linda Richman]

Hello all. I am in a Girl Genius Guild on Gaia Online, and recently we had some discussion about what-ifs and future possible plot twists, as well as some revelations concerning Klaus. I am posting this here because sff_gorgi asked me to and making a new post for it because it turned out to be too long for a post comment for the sketches post. First, back in August, a poster named DataLaughing shared a 'spoiler' bookplate sketch -- the request had been for Zeetha's father, the great warrior Chump. As DataLaughing says, 'Look familiar?'

Familiar...? Naaaaah.Collapse )

Meanwhile, with a large antipodean continent sort of getting in my way, I had requested a sketch of the Baron in his most intriguing Skifandran clothing. That, in fact, came yesterday:

I think he was enjoying himself.Collapse )

And just because I like sharing, here's a sketch of the late Baronin Wulfenbach, to which everybody so far has said, 'So Klaus got his nose from his father....':

Mama does not look terribly pleased.Collapse )

...and there we have a large section of puzzle drop into place. The eventual journey to Skifander will be all that more intriguing, now that we have a little more to anticipate.

I found this and wanted to do SOMEthing with it, but the SOME has not presented itself. However, it's some good information on the same population on which we're focussing from roughly the same time (culturally speaking, at least; literal chronology is not relevant and a 100-year lag in progress would not be so surprising in light of the Long War) as a jumping-off point. One might hope the Wulfenbach programme of infrastructure development has been making some inroads on literacy levels, for instance.
